Stories for the Sea - 'Take 3'

My talented friend Brianna Horne has a way with words and an eye for the lens. Bri took part in the Environmental Film Festival Australia, and she created this short vid during a Storytelling project for Take 3 For The Sea.

The short film shows a glimpse into a wintery day at home on the Mornington Peninsula depicting my daily routine and how I try and live for the sea with Take 3’s message always lingering.

Take 3’s message is simple, achievable and has now gone viral round the globe. Take 3 For The Sea, simply suggests picking up 3 pieces of rubbish whether you be by the sea, deep in the bush or thick in the midst of a city, it all counts. And if we all really took this message on board, no piece of rubbish would be left on the sidewalk, blowing down the street or becoming buried into our sandy beaches. It takes no time from your day to pick something up you walk by. It is scary to see how many people walk past rubbish with a blind eye. Its even scarier to think that this is becoming the norm, the norm to see rubbish everywhere we look. I mean especially for us in Australia, we are so fortunate to breath clean air and have healthy water running from our taps. Yet the more we see litter in our streets, parks, beaches, rivers the less we are going to be shocked by it.
