LIV ROSE
Founder and Director
Inspired by a need for change, a cry for help from our marine environment
Liv’s time studying in Hawaii exposed her to the harsh reality of what our human impact on the marine environment had caused. Plastic pollution was prolific, littering the pristine volcanic coastlines of each island. Endless marine creatures where found tangled, feeding on and playing with the debris of our negligence. Plastic was and still is suffocating our oceans. There grew Liv’s voice to share and inspire others to change the way they’re living and open their eyes to the importance and beauty of our precious marine environment.

Unifying Liv’s love for the sea with her ability to explore the underwater world on a single breath, a freedive school was born..
Liv came to a realisation that it’s not easy to inspire change without connecting people to the actual cause or problem. Change ignites when one has experienced or felt something personally. Freediving is Liv’s way of connecting you to not only your inner self but the elements of the ocean that surround you. From there she hopes to inspire baby steps for change from student to student, mermaid to merman.
In order for change to evolve from the people, we need to connect them to the elements themselves. Connecting to the ocean through freediving is one step closer to a greater movement for change. After all, we protect what we love.
